Tue 8 Apr – Kelly Clarkson, Jamie Scott & The Town
After postponing the original seccond night in Manchester, finally we got to see Kelly Clarkson, and it was majorly worth the wait.
The support act, Jamie Scott & The Town, really wasn't up to scratch. Each song seemed to drag on, and didn't really sound any different to the last. His only real saving grace was that he did 'Smile', recorded by Lily Allen, written originally by him. Although Lily only took the chorus. It's not surprising when you descover that the verses sound exactly like the same endless mubble of lyrics from his other songs. A few of the girls found him attractive, so I suppose that helps?
He was definitely an interesting warm up act to pick, looking around, everyone seemed either bored, disinterested or rather depressed. Certainly not 'warming up' the croud.
After a short break, "..are you there, are you watching me?" A prerecorded intro of Irvineas she sat there in a similer manner to the My Decemberalbum artwork.

Sat 22 Mar – Kelly Clarkson, Jamie Scott & The Town
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant!
Kelly sang for AGES and was so sweet. Well worth the entrance fee. She sounded even better live than she does on her albums..which is odd but true.
I was disapointed to find out that Jamie Scott & The Town is actually just one person but I did get his autograph. The Cello that accompanied him was great.
I've been singing Kelly Clarkson songs over and over again since and I predict I shall be playing her albums on loop when I get back to my laptop where they are stored.
Anyway, it's a great gig and if anyone else is contemplating going to see her live, do it!
