Good singing. Shame Banks and Rutherford couldn't be bothered to write any half-decent songs. It just reeks of laziness.

It's not that this album is bad - it has some good moments in fact (Congo). It's that it's f... purposeless!!

If you are a Phil Collins fan this album is nothing for you. For me it was the first Genesis album for about 15 years which sounded completely like GENESIS, not like the Phil Collins Band.

This is horrid. Like, absolutely relentlessly horrid. [2]

Has some great songs, but it's probably the most lazy Genesis album. I have little doubt Tony played the same keyboard on most every song, same with Mike's guitars. Ray said in the book when they worked on the title track, easily the most memorable and classic song from the album, instead of being psyched about what was happening and possibly getting engaged into the process, Mike and Tony were more into reading the newspaper and just being idle.

Big deal. 80s Genesis at least pumped out a great album or two.

This best Genesis album made! and in fact first time for good Genesis album for they had not achieved good album before! Story of Genesis begins with Calling All Stations, what was beforehand was footnote yes!

Wow, now after many years I must say that this is also a perfect album. And Ray Wilson has an amazing voice. I listen in his voice a little Peter, a little Phil and a little bit in some parts to Sting :) But ultimately this is a great unique Ray's voice. The album may not have been so commercially successful, but thanks to Tony, Mike, Ray and additional musicians, it was another great Genesis album... ...Guys, I think - now maybe occurred a moment to you all met together (Anthony, Tony, Mike, Steve, Peter, Phil, Ray and maybe Daryl and Chester) and recorded the spectacular, amazing double album - the best in the world =) To which we would never forget. I believe you that you would be able to do perfectly. I love Genesis forever :)

Rather underrated, not as bad as anyone says. Most songs are better than most of the songs from "Invisble touch" and "We can't dance".

I only know the song Congo from it, but with this song alone the album can't be bad.
