An amazing album. When it first came out I didn't know if I liked it or not. Now among their best.

Their White Album. Which makes it their best, most versatile and maybe, with time, my favorite record.

Contrary to popular belief, this is Fleetwood Mac's masterpiece album; not Rumours. [2]

The cover art of this album is perfect, it represents the spirit of the album so well.

Also, anyone who loves Lindsey's work here owes it to themselves to check out Go Insane, his solo album from 1984. Twelve tracks, all full of unhinged genius worthy of this here masterpiece. Whattaguy.

I think this is as good as pop music gets, period. It doesn't matter how much awful pop has been made over the years - Tusk justifies the whole fucking genre. Also, how often do you find a double album that doesn't have any weak moments? (Though granted, it helps when you have *three* great songwriters in your band.)

@the_raytownian: Considering the number of times he has scrobbled songs from the album I assume he meant it positively. http://www.last.fm/user/TheTallMan/library/music/Fleetwood+Mac/Tusk

Rumours' evil doppelganger. And, hands down, their best record. Dark; beautiful; intoxicatingly weird. Stephen Erlewine said it best: "as a piece of pop-art, it's peerless."

it's so hard to find an album that gets better with each listen. it's not a "perfect" album or anything, but it's one of the greatest i've ever heard

I need Tusk rehab [2] This album is an out & out masterpiece! There isn't a single song on here that I think is short of astonishing. If I had to pick favorites I'd go with The Ledge, Beautiful Child, Tusk, and Never Forget, but I wouldn't want to do without ANY of these twenty gems. I love Fleetwood Mac. (And yeah, way better than Rumours, this!)

Fleetwood Mac at their best! Rumours is amazing but this is outstanding, truly a masterpiece.

Masterpiece. Beautiful mess. Fun fact: This album is so named because each member of the band snorted a line of coke equal to the length of an average elephant tusk.

Incredible LP, one of my all-time favorites. Lindsey was on a whole 'nother level with this one, not to mention the fantastic contributions all around. ...if I meet someone and they talk shit about the 'Mac, all I have to do is show them a few jams from this and the minds are blown. Simply, Fleetwood Mac's finest hour (and 15 minutes!) and a true underrated classic.
