Der dritte Teil des 'InfraWarrior' Zyklus: 'Naiades', der Faith and the Muse Mitgründerin und Sängerin, ist sehr ausgereift, man merkt die künstlerische Erfahrung.
dark wave, gothic rock, ethereal, alles sehr harmonisch, eingängig, ein Werk das ihren Geschlechtsgenossinen bestimmt gefällt.
Das es definitiv für die Tanzfläche taugt, freut mich umso mehr.
Dominantes tribal Schlagzeug und Melodiebögen mit abwechselnder Dynamik fügen sich zu starken Titeln wie dem „Endbegin“. Stellenweise erinnert mich ihre Gesangsstimme an die von Siouxsie Sioux von Siouxsie & The Banshees.
Ebenfalls eine Meisterin ihres Fachs.
„The Mighty“ erinnert mit dem Hackbrett im Hintergrund, und dem ausgesungenen Liedtext an die unvermeidlichen 'Dead Can Dance'.
Dies ist auch die erste Single des Albums.

Gut produziert, der Halleffekt auf dem Gesang macht es ein wenig breiig, Höhen fehlen manchmal.

So the other day I got an email from the Faith and the Muse email/news list that my email is subscribed to that William Faith and DJ Scary Lady Sarah are doing this new project if they can get at least 7 grand through kickstarter. The plan is to make a debut single and a music video.

Bon, autant dire qu’écrire un compte-rendu du concert d’hier soir à huit heures du matin, c’est un peu une gageure. J’ai un peu dans l’idée que si mes allergies semblent vouloir me foutre la paix cette année, je risque plus des babioles comme l’épuisement physique, l’infarctus des pieds ou le coma éthylique. En même temps, j’étais prévenu.

Ce que j’avais par contre totalement zappé, c’est que Trolls et Légendes ne commençait officiellement que le soir du vendredi, ce qui fait que j’ai passé à peu près toute la journée à errer dans les rues de Mons, de bars en bars (et autant dire que, si j’avais dû faire tous ceux de la Grand-Place, j’y serais encore).

Mais le soir, c’est place aux concerts et c’est Borrachoz, un groupe belge au nom bien de chez nous qui ouvre le bal. Et quand je parle de bal, ce n’est pas une image: les concerts de Troll & Légendes, ça tient beaucoup du bal masqué pour ce qui est de l’apparence du public et la…

My home-made compilation, a guide to what people call neofolk music. I use 1 track per release formula (for more info see RYM list) for I need a simple formula to follow, basically. As a result, you'll find here original tracks as well as live recordings and rare versions, classics and obscure songs. I hope it would serve as a useful source of interesting neofolk music for both newcomers and more experienced fans. I've seen similar compilations for other genres, but not for this, so why not make one, huh?
