Albums I bought last month, as in physical cds:
The Essential Gloria Estefan
Stunt
Alles mit'm Mund
Demon Days
stellastarr*
AjaThe Bends
Kid A
Don't Believe the TruthHeathen Chemistry
Standing on the Shoulder of GiantsBillie's Best
Greatest Hits
Duran Duran (The Wedding Album)
Bedtime for Democracy
That One Way
Also 11 cds of Billie Holiday singing from the Billie Holiday songbook as well as nearly all her recordings in this box set. Probably, all together, I paid about $75-80. You'll notice these are not new cds though, so that probably explains how I get them so cheap. -
Today I Have Mostly Been Purchasing...

Went on a charity shop browsing session in Marylebone today, and picked up a bunch of albums along the way!
-Bat Out of Hell
A guilty pleasure, I guess! Not a lot else to say!
-Automatic for the People
Starting my R.E.M. collection with one of their best albums.
-Duran Duran (The Wedding Album)
Featuring my absolute favourite Duran Duran song, "Come Undone".
-Tin Planet
I wish this could have been their debut but with "The Ballad of Tom Jones" and "Be There" I wasn't complaining when I found this.
-Desireless
I only know this through the song "Save Tonight" - but what a song it is!
-The Marshall Mathers LP
Without a doubt the best Eminem album...
-18
...And my second favourite Moby album!
I also picked up the Urban Myth Club single "I Feel It" and a promo copy of All American Rejects' "Dirty Little Secret", both going cheap. -

Last weekend, I made a pilgrimage to Wooden Nickel in Fort Wayne, Indiana (the local used record store), and purchased three albums:
Crowded House
Duran Duran (The Wedding Album)
Business As Usual
These are some quality albums. I must say that The Wedding Album is much weaker than I expected, on the strength of Ordinary World. Medazzaland suffers from the same problem -- perhaps Duran Duran should have left their legacy alone?
Anyway, earlier today I made a trip to the local pawn shop, who sells CDs at 5 for $10. I picked up these albums:
Diva
Recovering The Satellites
Control
Get The Knack
Erotica
Antichrist Superstar
Bat out of Hell II
To Live and Die in L.A.
Whitesnake
Oranges & Lemons
We shall see how good these are. I don't have high expectations for the the non-single tracks by The Knack, Counting Crows, Janet Jackson or Whitesnake, but we shall see.
Let the ripping commence...
