Extended versions usually aren't as good as the original. This is no exception.

Pete Burns was great back then. This is a classic, everybody knows it. The first time I saw him, I thought "wow, he looks just like Boy George!".

Interesting track, but Stock Aitken Waterman products are nothing compared to any Italo Disco from the same era. Take italo, remove the hilarious vocals, histrionic melodies, studio experimentation, and heartfelt sentiment and replace them with the 80s British sterility and you get Stock Aitken Waterman. still, I like the apocalyptic string sequence - I wonder if that really was inspired by Ride of the Valkyries

Agree with retroguy. I was 14 when this single came out, and it was the in thing at the time to buy 12 inch singles. I played this 12 inch until it was worn down and scratched. Absolutely brilliant to hear it again!! The best use of a cowbell in a song ever!!!

My all time favorite version of my all time favorite retro 80's track. I remember getting this as an import on 12" vinyl and spinning it in front of a university crowd. The open mouth reaction from the frenzied crowd gave me a bit of chubby........... perhaps I said too much. Seriously though - if there is a more energetic floor filler from that era, I haven't heard it yet.
