Band di Charlestown nell’Indiana, formatasi nel 1995, propone un rock molto simile a quello degli Alice in Chains, le canzoni sono piene di melodia.
I componenti sono cambiati nel tempo, e sono stati tanti.
Il loro album d’esordio, “Days of the New”, porta la band alla ribalta della scena musicale americana, ed i singoli “Touch, Peel and Stand” e “Shelf In The Room” sono i pezzi con i quali ci si ricorda del gruppo.
Nella loro carriera hanno fatto da band d’apertura per Metallica, Jerry Cantrell, Creed, 3 Doors Down.
Si divisero più volte, per poi tornare insieme magari con qualche variazione nella line-up della band.
Travis Meeks, cantante chitarrista del gruppo, dopo anni di dipendenza da metanfetamine, si fa convincere da familiari ed amici ed entra in riabilitazione, tornando a scrivere canzoni per un nuovo album, il quarto…
Come i Led Zeppelin, i Days of the New hanno intitolato i loro album a se stessi, numerando il secondo ed il terzo, mentre l’ultimo, oltre al nome della band, contiene una scritta aggiuntiva, ” Presents Three Colors”…
