His work is sadly underappreciated and yet it is one of the finest examples of thorough musicianship and complete uniqueness and evolution of not only jazz but music itself. He truly is a great artist and a brilliant improviser. His trio member Stomu Takeishi is one of the most awe inspiring and original bass players I've heard yet. He prudently dominates in their music, taking up a lot of space, but always leaving enough room for it to be balanced with everything else. And Ted Poor is simply brilliant.
