You can’t help thinking of the ‘60s when you hear the opening riff of this Cream hit: the Jack Bruce-penned riff seamlessly sets the atmosphere for the blues and psychedelic rock track. “Sunshine of Your Love”’ is also significant for exemplifying Eric Clapton’s distorted and muted guitar sound dubbed the “woman tone.” Add Ginger Baker’s flamboyant, jazz-inspired drums and you’ve got a gold-certified single by the world’s first successful supergroup. -- watchmojo

Clapton, Bruce and Baker... STILL perhaps the greatest three pure musicians (not necessarily singers) to ever play in one band together. Only the Beatles come close, but as much as I love McCartney on Bass, Bruce is better, the same is true of Clapton and Harrison (though, again, Harrison is right up there with the best ever), and with all due respect to Richard "Ringo" Starr(key), Ginger Baker blows him away.

Just watch Cream live at RAH, fantastic! One of my favorites. Jack's voice still has that rawness that a great singer always has.
