Somehow, the first time I heard this song I wasnt' really paying attention to the lyrics, so I thought he was saying "I love you" after that "I'll be gentle" part. And a long time passed before I bothered to check that out. So, well, by the time I realised this was my favorite song from the cd and decided to read the lyrics... you can imagine my surprise :P Still think it's an absolutely brilliant piece of music, though. I'm glad I tried all those lyrics now, they really intensify the strenght of the album.
I discovered this album in about 1972, the same time i discovered the joys of tripping. Unbelievably the two go quite well together; although I left the trips behind years ago this LP has been a constant companion and source of wonder and inspiration. I love this whole track, but there's something about the electric bass at about 5:45 that is just beautiful. Your shadow over chair like a plane over mountains
