This is an article in which I tried to bundle all the great losses of rock'n roll and modern music. That means all the musicians which are worldwide known and died at young age (before 51 years old). I tried to give a little information about the way they died. Most of the information I got from Wikipedia. When someone thinks I forgot an artist or that the information is incorrect... I'm open for new information.

Lhasa de Sela (Lhasa) (1972-2010)
Following a 21-month-long battle with breast cancer, Lhasa died, age 37, on the evening of January 1, 2010, at her home in Montreal.
Rhett Forrester (Riot) (1956-1994)
Murdered. He was shot and killed in Atlanta, Georgia, after he refused to give up his vehicle in an attempted carjacking. The crime has not to date, been solved.

Chic with Slash - Le Freak
The sheer amount of talent on this stage is overwhelming. This is one of the last performances that Bernard Edwards (bass) ever played in 1996--RIP. Slash is one lucky man to be next to and even fondled by Jill Jones--she is a goddess. Also Omar Hakim on drums and Gerardo Velez on percussion (played with Hendrix at Woodstock).

Unter einem besseren Motto hätte der Abend gar nicht stehen können. Die Unnahbarkeit in Person, der letzte der Grossen Drei, der nicht sein Gesicht an die Peinlichkeit oder sogar den Tod verloren hat, gibt sich die Ehre: der sexy Motherfucker himself, der auf dieses Label heute galant verzichtet, nur um es umso definitiver noch einmal zu beweisen, The Artist Formerly And Now Again Known As Prince. We all know his name, we all know his songs.

Die Sonne geht unter über der Waldbühne, genauer: hinter ihr, sodass ihre letzten Strahlen die Zuschauer in den oberen, billigeren Plätzen zu blenden drohen. Als würde die Natur selbst den Künstler krönen wollen, der sich hier heute Abend die Ehre gibt. Die Location ist dem Anlass also durchaus angemessen, Wetter und Temperatur stimmen, in letzter Minute noch ein Bier besorgt – alle Voraussetzungen super.
