I got into Bat for Lashes when Erica (of the FG variety) recommended her to me over the summer of 2007. A wise recommendation, indeed.

I can't be sure what the first Dusty Springfield song I ever heard was. I'm sure I heard a lot of her songs on oldies stations and in movies before I paid much attention. But I will say I Only Wanna Be With You, because that was the first song I loved by her. And it is quite likely it's the first one I ever heard.

Rilo Kiley have written many wonderful lyrics. I love the lyrics to Rest of My Life:
