  About damn aliens, that's right… Man, this is hard if you try to not spoiler anything. This film gets a lot of criticism from people that think their critique is important. And they are all right. This is, what, Dances With Wolves 2, Pocahontas 3, Ferngully 2? Of course it isn’t. I’m trying to explain to myself why I like this. Because it’s definitely not a good story if you write it on paper. Which I won’t do by the way. It has one dimensional characters. About 2 or 3. People hated them. I loved their over-the-top performance. For example, there is this one Chief, you may  know him from trailers, that one with the scars. The only things he says are very sarcastic one-liners. He is always shown as a badass. And I loved that. I feel like every film needs a terrible character. You can’t expect films to be perfect all the time. Oh, and I guess that's a big problem. Because, well, it is a Cameron film. People expect Cameron to deliver the perfect film. They waited for, what, 15

  Well, I deactivated commenting. Anybody noticed that? Haha. I deactivated it because I felt like people never comment here, even if I have loads of people visiting. And the “no comments” thing right next to every post was so distracting. Well. There is no “no comments” thing anymore and if you want to say something, go right ahead. I will read your stuff.   Oh, and by the way. You don’t need to tell me your email. This is not Spamkotaku, so why would I need your fakemail?

Tigsource had this competition running, Assemblee.

Well, I tried participating. I wanted to release as much music as possible. Problem was, on this month I had exams, so after two weeks of trying to make music, I stopped doing anything music related and started learning shit.

So I just finished 3 songs and promised stuff I didn’t deliver. Makes me quite sad. But I guess the music is good.

Yesterday I’ve watched this documentary about Penny Arcade. I guess it’s a well made documentary and it colors me prejudice. Such an incredible work environment. If you are done working, try playing these new games please, we should know what their problems are to make fun of em. But oh well, 2Player Productions seem to be huge chiptune nerds, so naturally the soundtrack of that docu is chiptune. One song catched my attention really hard though. This one right here. Don’t mind the dumb imagery. That song is just so mind-blowing. And it’s just 4 minutes of the same melody over and over again. And still I never get bored of it. This song kind of drags me back into chiptune. And my main problem about chiptune always was that I’m not good at making chiptune.   The attempts I have usually end up in being a shitty melody with terrible excuses of drum sets. I would love to make chiptune, but I always feel like it’s hard to make it sound good. Maybe I always forget how not really rele

I’m trying to find a way to upload music through Live Writer too. So I don’t even need to touch the ftp anymore. Let’s see if I find a good solution. Download?

Yeah, Microsoft software, evil. Boo. I guess I was searching for a long while for a good blog writing software outside the internet, so I don’t always need to visit wp-admin. This program I can start instantly, write shit, press enter, call it a day. Online, I have to start a browser, type in my url, or at least press on the favs to get to the Dashboard. In there, I have to click on post and new. I dunno, it’s kind of tedious and too slow for me. If I want to write a blog entry, I want it to happen instantly, so that’s why I kinda found this Microsoft product. Not that there’s anything evil about Microsoft, but it really surprised me that there isn’t anything equally good. Well. Let’s try adding images and see how that works and where it uploads it. Hah. Wow. That was surprisingly easy. Okay, I’m impressed.

Tigsource has an assemblee competition. That means some people made all sorts of assets for one month and now people have one month of time to make games out of those assets and only out of those.

I was bored and thought we could make a competition that rips off the music. So far there are only two entries, one of them is mine.

A friend of mine started making music recently. And just because I like collaborations, I asked him if he could send me a project file of a song he thought was best. I made this version out of what he gave me. Total fun. Thanks Jsticker.

Got Komplete now. Man, the package is incredibly heavy.
