Jazzy percussion & piano, great walking bassline, sweet vocals & melody, bittersweet lyrics, dramatic strings, even jingle bells at the end -- this song's got it all!

This song perfectly relates to what I've been going through recently. This is the song about a girl who has dumped her boyfriend and while he is still emotionally attached to her, she is cool, probably playing the "Let's Be Friends" card. So the person who is saying these words is telling her that the way she has detached herself from all of the things that their relationship used to mean disgusts him. He's still worked up about it and she's calm. This is a beautiful song, one of the best Ben Folds Five songs on this album.

This is one of those songs that instantly transport me back to when I first heard it, all of the emotions and thoughts I had at the time hit me as soon as I hear the piano part. Truly a great song, smile like a bank teller blankly telling me: 'have a nice life'.

Haven't heard this in forever. "Don't just stare like you never cared, I know you did" - that part totally gave me chills.

This is quite possibly the angriest song I have ever heard. Moreso than any temper-tantrum metal or whiny alt-rock.

Considering that almost all Folds' songs are so freakin' awesome composition-wise, lyrically and musically, you guys make some pretty bold claims about this one song.

In high school all my friends were into Nirvana, and when I discovered Ben Folds Five their fascination lasted only through Brick... Nirvana is good too, but they missed out. This song is amazing.
