The benefit for Haiti was one of the greatest shows I've ever been to. The lineup was phenomenal and each artist lived up to the occasion. The show took place at 1st Ave in Minneapolis and as people filtered in some solid djing was going down.
Slug warmed up the crowd in his snow pants and mittens and Psalm One, a surprise, took the stage and wowed the crowd. Muja Messiah followed and killed. They were incredible but that was a constant for the night. Four and a half hours of solid (mostly local) music consisting of artists like Toki Wright, Sims, I Self Divine, B. Dolan and Sage Francis, and Brother Ali helped to raise $30,000+ for Haiti. A good night to say the least.
