Shuffle songs to come up with answers to this quiz.

I found this quiz and I was extremely bored, so I modified it to fit my boredom. For each song, I put the answer to the question via a lyric from the song. I’m sorry they aren’t on random for you, but I’m on a quest to listen to my favorite songs on my ipod alphabetically and I didn’t want to get off that course. So deal! :D

When I was little, I used to listen to most of my music during long rides in the van with my parents. Even so, I began to get my own favourite songs. I'll link all of the ones I remember.

Shake The Sugar Tree
I remember actually bugging my parents to play this one over and over again. "Play the sugar tree song!" Probably the first favourite song I ever had.

I'm In A Hurry (And Don't Know Why)
I used go to my friend's house who lived across the street, so we could play Pogs and Hot Wheels. One time when he went to the washroom I took his fake microphone, jumped on his bed, and started to sing this song. His mom smiled at me when she walked by his door with a big thing of laundry.

Angels Among Us
Wow, I didn't know that 2 of my favourite songs were by Alabama. Anyway, I think this is also the first song that made me cry.

Last Kiss
I remember one time I was at my cousins house, and my uncle picked up the guitar and started playing this song, then him and like 5 other people started to sing this song. …

No Depression magazine surveys roots music every other month (http://www.nodepression.net) and used to bill itself as the home of alt-country "whatever that is". The name, as you know, originates with No Depression. 'Tis my Bible of Americana Music such as it is.

OK, you also know I've done this before. If I'm not careful I'll turn it into my personal meme. Will try to restrain myself in the future, but it's raining out. so her she goes.

ND#63 has Jon Dee Graham and Alejandro Escovedo on the cover, with top plugs for Buck Owens, Dr. John, Josh Ritter, and Cassandra Wilson. Of these, I'm familiar with all but the last. I will read to become informed.

Live Show writeups: Van Morrison, Jeff Tweedy, Wilco (are they not one in the same? I know, read to become informed...); Jesse Dayton, Mavis Staples, Ray Davies, Silver Jews. Of these, 1 strike-out with Mr. Davies, tho I don't know that any of the rest show up in my charts.

Soundtrack of My Life: Live

I don't have a laudry list of bands I've seen live. I don't see many bands live. Not many bands play live where I live, where I have lived, or where I imagine I'll live anytime soon.

Growing up up Fargo ways the fair brought in the regular hat acts. The first show I recall was theOak Ridge Boys at the lutheran college (I was 7 or 9 or something). Charlie Daniels was the closest thing to rock-n-roll I saw. After a couple shows to wet my musical wistle, I vividly recall Willie Nelson's show. He got up on stage, said "Hello". Then he played his guitar & sang. Then he played alot more. When he was done he said "I hope you enjoyed the show". He did what he came to do and didn't clutter it up with fluff. I wish I woulda listened, cause I spent alot of growing up years listening to clutter.

I went to college at Illinois-Urbana (Oskee-wa-wa!) It still kills me that Alison Krauss was attending the local community college & playing around town…
