    Philosophy
Vocaloids are, at their core, voice banks.
They are instruments, their names do not go in the title or artist fields.

You wouldn't label your music as
"CoolGuy - Too Long of a Song ft. Fender Telecaster Deluxe"
    would you?
TL;DR: Vocaloid names go in the comment field for convenience and consistency. The Artist in a Vocaloid song is the producer who made it, not the Vocaloid voice bank featured in it.

    Why?
    This method allows you to:
Keep your tags clean while allowing you to retain accompaniment information.Keeps you from scrobbling generic artist names on last.fm, like Hatsune Miku, Miku Hatsune, =^3^=Vocaloid=^3^=, etc.Keeps you from creating unnecessary variations of an artist name, such as livetune feat. 初音ミク, instead of simply livetune.Allows you to append the %comment% field to the end of a filename in any competent tagging program…
