The Name Of This Track Is Bobby Konders
THE NAME OF THIS TRACK IS BOBBY KONDERS (A1) is a reminiscence of NEW YORK and the many different influences from the Big Apple: first of all, there is Bobby Konders' idea of House Music; then SUICIDE, the pioneers of Electro, and not to forget TALKING HEADS (The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads), the Pop Art band par excellence. Music wise, ANTONELLI gradually makes this track gleaming by monotony and a cheeky eventlessness happening between fizzling hi-hats and stoic claps. LAFAYETTE (A2) is purest, cosy Minimal and sounds like ANDY WARHOL on acid. The guitar riff in SLOW MONEY MUSIC (B1) relates to Techno as the BUSH TETRAS to Disco: dirty, dark and spiced with a hint of junkie chic. The bass line is 100 percent ANTONELLI, and the anthem-like chords as well as the suicidal melody manifest the track into a stroboscopic thunderstorm. The MINIMAL VERSION (B2) from SLOW MONEY MUSIC reduces the track to its essentials: guitar riff, bass line, bass drum and chords – purest science fiction: the sound of New York in 2027.
