Burton's new flick, already in preproduction has me hoping they will just release already!
It's just such an amazing cast, starring beautiful Johnny Depp, ever-present goth goddess Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman!

How do you guys think this one will go?

DreamWorks has given Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street a December 21, 2007 release date, with Johnny Depp, Sacha Baron Cohen, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Laura Michelle Kelly, Christopher Lee, Timothy Spall and Anthony Stewart Head attached to star. Directed by Tim Burton, Stephen Sondheim musical thriller revolves around Benjamin Barker alias Sweeney Todd, (Depp) who returns to London after being deported to find out what happened to his wife and child at the hands of Judge Turpin. the wankers at the film classification board gave it a 18. that means i won't be able to see it until it comes out on dvd because i apparently look young for my age - i still get id checked for buying 15 certificate dvds and my younger sister can get away with it. it's a crime. oh well it's not going to put me off trying to go and see it... it comes out next week over here i think...

Finally got to see it last week, loved it! I thought all the imagery and costumes were amazing. looking forward to the dvd now :D
