Who Is Your Favorite Member?

    Flea IS the Chilis for me. He's been there from the start and his sound has remained the most consistent of all the band members. He also has the distinction of being regarded as the greatest living bassist. John is a great guitarist but there are others who could easily stake a claim to be better.
    I know he's a popular choice, but I'm sure that's for a reason. John may be the more innovative musician but Flea IS RHCP for me.

  • For me the essence of RHCP are Flea and Anthony. John is a GOD of guitar, but as it comes to RHCP, he is rather a part of a team, not the "essence", although RHCP with John is REAL RHCP to me(just after RHCP with Hillel)
    Chad is somehow in the shadow, I like him too, but my fav is John. I like every of them, but every in a different way.

    Anthony, because as a vocalist and lyricist myself I feel closer to him !
    He's my idol and will forever be.
    But I admire John, Flea and Chad quite as much !

    Well, let me think...
    My favs are Anthony and Flea.
    But I can't imagine the Red Hot Chili Peppers without John too.
    Also Chad is great drummer.
