    Not Stat Related Tools

Our group name is Stats, so the stats tools presented in the overview text should have some kind of weak relation with music stats, unfortunately there are out there some cool tools that don't necessary are about music stats, I thought that would be good idea to open a space to share them.

    Pict FM
Quickly and easily create avatars with your favorite artists (bands).

    TagBar
With TagBar you can Love or Ban Tracks and add Artists, Albums or Tracks to tags in your Last.fm account by submitting tracks you've got on your computer
    Comments

    Last.fm Tag Editor
The unofficial rebirth of the tag editor

    Soundamus
Get new and upcoming music releases from the artists you listen to.

    ExitAhead!
Searches in ebay for music in your last.fm profile

    Lasttube
Plays youtube videos from the artists in your chart

    Universal Scrobbler
This suite of tools allow you to scrobble songs from previously unscrobblable sources.

If you find a cool not-stat related tool please reply to this thread.

wow that is amazing!!, thank you!

not to take anything from it, it's already a great tool, but maybe you should add some kind of filter to remove repeated albums I got almost 4 entries for 'Scream Aim Fire' from 'Bullet For My Valentine'

You may have seen this before, but Ive only just discovered this group so I apologise if this 'announcement' is old news.

www.exitahead.co.uk will search eBay for music by artists from your lastfm profile. Handy for picking up older CDs by artists you have recently discovered, or the compulsive music collector who doesnt want to miss out on a bargain. With an rss feed for looking out for the items that might come up less frequently.

Please leave me a shout if you buy anything good.

Similar mashup idea at http://tv.timbormans.com/ with more info in the group lasttube. You can access the flash player directly (without the webpage surroundings) via a url like http://tv.timbormans.com/tv.swf?q=AntonyM&cat=user , just replace "AntonyM" with lastfm user id.

That's great behlert, really useful tool.

  • Some fun official non-stat related tools... http://playground.last.fm/

  • x-post from here - I thought that this might fit here as well.

Here is my non-stats related toy! It lets you make MOO stickers with the names of your favourite bands on them (according to your last.fm charts, anyway) in a variety of fonts and colours.

You can also enter the name of your favourite band and it will get back the 89 most similar (plus what you entered). Then you can select the stickers you want (support for non-Roman characters is a bit limited - Cyrillic is fine, Hebrew is fine in Courier New, currently no support for any other character sets - which is why I put this step in) and go through to MOO via their API to buy them.

Pictures are here - focus is appalling, but should give you an idea of what they look like in real life.

In the interests of full disclosure, I work for MOO but built this on my own time - because I am too old to buy band merch in a shop but not too old to want a sticker that says "Fall Out Boy" for my notebook ;)

Yeah wow! that is really useful! Something which is really missing to last.fm!

You could get some money from the record companies, I'm sure that can increase the album sales ;)

  • Just made another new tool - this time for checking your last.fm accounts against newly available albums in Spotify. I apologise that it's a bit quick and dirty!

    Cool, could be useful.
There is another tool like this:
    http://lutt.se/lastfm+spotify+new/
and it checks your recommendations too. But it only checks your top50 or so.

free tracks mass downloader :) give it a link to an artist or an album, click download, that's all

  • I just created the Last.fm Album Of The Year Journal Creator, which makes it easy to see all your plays for albums released this year and does the legwork of creating a journal for you. Hopefully will make it easier for all those people making "Top Albums of 2009" journals next month!

I've just created The Last.fm Mass Tagger

A java app for tagging multiple items at once on last.fm. It just allows tagging from various lists you can get from the api at the moment and could do with a lot more polish but I decided to release it anyway.

  • Universal Scrobbler, TagBar, Pict FM - they don't offer these tools anymore. Please update this list. Cheers!
