  Pathetic as it may seem, I always hoped that... somehow... he would have something to say all of a sudden. It never happened. What he had to say (publicly) was said during that short period. I think he might have been happy on his own. Not needing anybody or anyone. Not even needing his past. I kind of envy him, more for this than for the fact that he founded the Pink Floyd. Sad that he wasn't in full control of his life after the drug abuse. Or maybe (as some people said) he was mentally sick and it would menifest itself sooner or later. One way or another. So, he was not in ful control of his life. But he was in ful control of his privacy, and it is something I REALLY admire. Sane or insane... he was an original. A genious. I like to think he found peace in the end. In his reclusion, he didn't seem to be suffering. Who knows? He was SYD BARRETT, what else can one want??
