Wereldculturencentrum RASA aan de Pauwstraat bestaat al 35 jaar en houdt zich bezig met het naar Nederland brengen van cultuur uit alle werelddelen, vooral muziek. Ging dat aanvankelijk nog om 'niet-westerse' muziek, tegenwoordig komen er ook Europese muziektradities aan bod. RASA richt zich daarbij nadrukkelijk op muziek uit andere culturen die elders in Nederland en de westerse wereld weinig ruimte krijgt. Een underground-podium als het ware, om in poptermen te spreken.
