@Rippingheadache - I'm very interested in Barth's work...I picked up Giles-Goat Boy not long ago, but haven't gotten through it yet on my mountain of other behemoth novels. How's Sot-Weed?

The last books I bought were Don Quixote (Cervantes), Moby-Dick (Melville), and The Life & Opinions of Tristam Dandy (Sterne) - so as to get more familiarized with classical experimental literature.

Only a hundred pages in so far but it reads like some bizarre hybrid of Beckett, Fielding and perhaps a bit of Gaddis thrown in for a good measure. It's a pretty wild book and hilarious at the same time.

Last book I bought was Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk and the reason why I bought it was because I've heard lot of good things about it and it was on this lovely small book store and didin't want to leave without buying anything.

I don't really buy books that often, I usually borrow them or get them from a library, but I think the last one I actually bought was Déjame que te cuente by Jorge Bucay. Personally I bought it because the short resume of it sort of got me. Turned out my father had it already, so I didn't really need to get it.
