Welcome to our group.

Well then,

On artist pages, "Friends that listen to [artist name]" should be changed to "Friends who listen to [artist name]". Thank you.

"Shouldn't this group be named "Grammar Nazis United"?" I'd say no. Unite makes it a calling for all grammar nazis out there to join up.

“It is the opinion of Plato, that changes in the dress and habits of the citizens portend great changes and commotions in the state; and I am inclined to believe that when the language in common use in any country becomes irregular and depraved, it is followed by their ruin or their degradation. For what do terms used without skill or meaning, which are at once corrupt and misapplied, denote but a people listless, supine, and ripe for servitude? On the contrary, we have never heard of any people or state which has not flourished in some degree of prosperity as long as their language has retained its elegance and its purity.” ~ John Milton

When we survey our lives and endeavours, we soon observe that almost the whole of our actions and desires is bound up with the existence of other human beings. We notice that our whole nature resembles that of the social animals. We eat food that others have produced, wear clothes that others have made, live in houses that others have built. The greater part of our knowledge and beliefs has been communicated to us by other people through the medium of a language which others have created. Without language our mental capacities would be poor indeed, comparable to those of the higher animals; we have, therefore, to admit that we owe our principal advantage over the beasts to the fact of living in human society. The individual, if left alone from birth, would remain primitive and beastlike in his thoughts and feelings to a degree that we can hardly conceive. (Albert Einstein, 1934)

I'd rather write "Maid Betty and a rabbit." than "Betty, a maid, and a rabbit." if i meant to say that Betty was a non-rabbit maid.

Most authorities on American English recommend its use, but it is not so frequently used in British English. In many languages (e.g., French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) the serial comma is not normally used, although it may be employed in cases where it aids clarity or the prosody to be used when reading, such being the case here.

If you can have an opinion, moz, so can i. You don't see me complaining about not capitalizing anything but names, acronyms, and the first significant letter of a sentence. Anyhow, as Hitler was a hypocrite, i suppose our current despondent leader can stay. All hail pink_ego_box!

As far as I am concerned, "I" should be spelled with a capital letter, c4t2007. If you really need to complain about grammar, punctuation and so on, try writing correct yourself. I'd be pleased if you considered using shift somewhat more often than just at the beginning of a sentence.

For someone who professes to hate "Awful, outrageous lack of punctuation", i think the current leader should shape up or step down.
