  Yeah, he made that and another movie too, I don't remember what the other one is called, though. Ironically, Harry Morgan played a small part in Orchestra Wives, and ended up being the second or third largest role in 'the Glenn Miller Story'.

  Anybody here seen Orchestra Wives? Mediocre film, but Miller and his band act and play most of the soundtrack to the movie.

  The V-Disc on my profile is a pic of the label for St Louis Blues, also have Holiday For Strings and many Miller civilian and AAF Band Lp's, CD's and his films plus biopic, I to am a 'boomer' so was brought up on the wonderful dance and swing bands of the 30's and 40's, but Glen Miller is and always will be my all time favourite.

  all of us boomers pretty much got these tunes in the womb!! i recognised them even before i had consciously heard them! they set your feet to tapping just like they did our folks!! my mom worked at the blackstone hotel in omaha nebraska where all the greats came through and played !! these are engrained in me....hope you dig em the most!!
