This is the last.fm group for members of the Edg&r student society, their friends, and anyone wanting to know more, get involved, or who simply likes the music!

Artist Connections are members'...

Serving the alternative music community in Edinburgh for over a decade! Rock? Metal? Goth? Punk? Hardcore? Ska? Anything alternative whatsoever? We do it.

From the constitution, our aims are:

1. To promote the rock, metal, goth, punk, and alternative scene/scenes in Edinburgh as a whole, and especially the university.

2. To run at least two, and preferably more, goth and/or rock or otherwise "alternative" club or band nights a term in a student union, primarily but not exclusively for the benefit of edg&r members.

3. To work with other individuals or organisations in the alternative scene to aid them in activities that are beneficial to edg&r and furthering its aims, including but not limited to playing host to club nights run by parties outside the society.

4. To provide a fun, friendly, and welcoming environment for freshers and other newcomers to the town or scene, and provide them with an introduction to the alternative scene in Edinburgh.

5. To organise social events for our members, other than clubs or band nights, in the interests of promoting friendship and a spirit of community, including a weekly social meeting at a pub or similar venue. (Wednesdays, 8pm, The Auld Hoose, St. Leonard's Street).

6. To release a fanzine at regular intervals throughout the year, with content that will be interesting and relevant to the society membership.

7. To obtain discounts and special offers for our members in shops, bars, and nightclubs.

8. To give away free sweets at our club nights!
