Plenty of anarchists, not many commies. The Dicks, Third World War, and International Noise Conspiracy are communist. The Clash are socialist; MDC and Anti-Flag are often labeled anarcho but I find them quite socialist. There's a Red/SHARP band called Brigada Flores Magon (which I'm not too into). And Choking Victim had commie influences.

Two of the most famous french punk bands (and not only in the punk world) are part of the communist sphere :

-The "Wampas" : They became very well known in France with their song against the limousine altermondialist Manu Chao and made a song to call "Georges Marchais" back (a dead french communist leader). Didier Wampas often talk politics in the interviews
-"Marcel et son orchestre", a very famous band whose singer was candidate for the legislative elections on the Communist Party lists.

They were a left-leaning throughout their history. I think the misunderstanding comes from the fact that the singer, Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, coverted to Catholicism and turned to very Catholic conservative politics even voting for populist and xenophobic party Lega Nord.
