    Hello, my name is John the Fox.
    I have a question for all who eply to this thread.

    What was your first time viewing last.fm? Was it during the goold old days when the scrobbler was called "audioscrobbler"? Or was it like today?

    I'll go first.

    My first time visiting this website was when i was a freshmen in high school. I was searchin up some way to play Rage Against the Machine songs straight from the internet. I came across the link to this website and boy was i happy with the results! This was back then when the player show the album cover of the song that was in it and, to my astonishment, Last.fm had every artist that i loved plus MORE!

    Anyways that's my story.

    My first time was somwehere back in 2005. I visited this site occasionally because I liked the radio offerings. I joined two years later eventually in 2007 and that's the Last.fm that I still miss. The good old minimalistic layout.
    I will always miss it no matter what.

  • I vaguely remember how I stumbled upon Last.fm, but I know that I was in 8th grade and wanted an alternative Yahoo! Launchcast and was searching for free streaming of artists I liked. I couldn't use Last.fm right away because my computer was soooo slow, but once I got a new computer I was on to the point of feeling kind panicky if I hadn't checked it that day. Now I am a college student and I still love Last.fm <3

  • My first time was long before I actually signed up on last.fm. I think it was back in 2005 when I first stumbled upon audioscrobbler.net while searching for similar artists to a few bands. Before that I was using Discogs to find new artists and I was happy to have AS as another discovery tool.

    I forgot how I even knew about Last.Fm but it was sometime in 2009 when I became a active member of this thing. I guess I was looking for some free site to listen to music before I figure out that it can also scrobble my stuff from Itunes and what not. So I was happy and what. I love Last.Fm and all that.

    I started using it in 2007. I've been listening to music all though high school and now college

  • In 2005, when I created this account, shorty after I had an own internet access for the first time. ^^ Was always helpful to find new music I didn't know.
