Genres?

Surely just a favorite genres thread thing here..

And yes, even if you are into certain genres right now you could tell us.

Mine are currently doom metal, stoner metal/rock, black metal and thrash metal.

Doom is my absolute favorite with Stoner being a very close second, but I like to thrash it up some days. NWoBHM gets a lot of heavy listening, too.

The horns are to metalheads as the n word is to black guys.

I'm into doom too, as well as lots of black metal...currently just starting to check out sludge and drone, as well. I like death and thrash metal sometimes, but don't find those genres quite as interesting. I also like straight-up rock music (when a band actually manages to impress me), gothic rock, darkwave, and neofolk. I'm fairly open-minded when it comes to anything other than rap, country, and top 40 pop. I tend not to really connect with classical, jazz and blues, even though I do enjoy them in the right context.

A little pointless thread in my opinion...it is visible on everybody's profil page.

So, my fav. styles:
Black - Some ordinary black metal is always good. Experimentations with this genre are not successful in the most of the cases.
Death & Death/grind
Some aggressive old-school thrash metal
Doom metal&Gothic doom
Several heavy bands
Several ska bands
Very little dark electro
Classical music
Russian patriotic rock
In some occasions glam rock but very rarely

I think (Progressive,Techniqal,Brutal) Death Metal is my fav but i listen to many genres.
