Last.fm client is not launching automatically with iTunes on Mac OS X Lion.
Please, fix this bug when you'll have access to newest OS.

  • Lion official release: still a problem

I can confirm this is still an issue with the retail version of Lion.

  • Still an issue

    I can confirm this also.

iTunes 10.5 Beta 3 is also a problem...

I'm using iTunes 10.5b3 and it's also a problem... actually, with this version of iTunes, no iPhone scrobbles are recognized nor cached.

  • I can confirm this also.
Hoping for a solution soon! :)

    +1 confirmed

  • Last.fm Scrobbler was last updated in October 2010. It is very unlikely for them to go fix anything after all this time of doing nothing.

Well, it worked fine for most people before. Now it doesn't. That's probably enough for them to step in. Especially if the bug prevents users from using their product (automatically).

    OSX Lion has broken Scrobbler

Not working for me under Lion, either

using iTunes 10.4 but same thing:
no iPod scrobbles anymore and the last.fm scrobbler doesn't start automatically when starting iTunes.

  • Same here

Can also confirm this. Please fix...

  • It is not working since the last iTunes 10.4 update yesterday. It's not the OS X Lion problem, it's because of the new iTunes version, on my Snow Leopard I also have this problem.

Problem is in iTunes 10.4 - it's fully 64 bit now, I think this might be an answer. Last.fm scrobbler still 32 bit, BTW.

Apple said officialy (release notes for iTunes 10.4) about possibly plugin problems.

Let's wait for last.fm programmers. Hope they'll fix it.

  • Not working here either. Lags a lot before launching, then when launched doesn't record scrobbles and can't be interacted with when via the status bar

^Same but it does not scrobble from my ipod.

  • Same problem here - won't detect iPod Classic or iPhone, but scrobbles fine with iTunes. It has to be launched manually too.

Same problem here on Snow Leopard since latest iTunes update. Starting last.fm manually is something I can live with, but nothing I listen to on iPod/iPhone gets scrobbled, only the stuff that gets played on iTunes directly. :-(

    Same problem here as well.

  • Same problem here too. Downloaded 10.4 yesterday. It scrobbles with iTunes, but it won't recognize my iPod, nor does the client open automatically when starting iTunes.

  • Same here! Please fix.
