Last.fm client doesn't open anymore with MAC OS version.

    Last.fm client doesn't open anymore with MAC OS version.

    The client no longer opens with iTunes nor when I try open it manually.
    In the menu bar, the last.fm icon bounces for a while then stops and does not open?
    Tried reinstalling to no avail. .
    Anyone know?

    No one here is a mind reader, you have to provide some details:

    What version of OS X? What version of last.fm? What version of iTunes? Is there a crash log for the client in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter?

    I don't use the Last.fm client, so this is just a guess from looking at the crash report. It looks like there was an exception thrown in the C++ std library. That exception was caught, but then re-thrown which caused the library to abort() the program. Not much help to the users, but at this point Last.fm staff is going to have to get involved.

    In the meantime, anyone getting this crash may want to give iScrobbler a try to get your scrobbling going again (see my sig).

  • weird, as i posted that i just fixed it... update your iscrobbler and your itunes or whatever you play music through. definetly just worked for the first song i played and ive been screwing around for a few days now. hahaaaaaa.

  • ok, so i downloaded i Scrobbler, and that works - but the Last.fm client is still caput, and personally i like that alot more.

    i guess i just sit on my duff until someone at Last.fm takes notice of the mac problem.
