The Pitchfork Music Festival Paris goes down October 28-29 at La Grande Halle de la Villette, a stunning 19th century glass and metal structure that stands in the center of the Parc de la Villette, the city’s largest public cultural park. Over the course of the two-day event, more than 20 bands and a multitude of DJs will take over the 5,000-capacity venue.
A dozen acts will play La Grande Halle on Friday, October 28, including a club night that will run until 5 a.m. On Saturday, we’ll have a special guest. Pitchfork brought Bon Iver to the UK for their first British show when they played the ATP event we co-curated in 2008. On October 29, the band will headline a bill featuring several artists selected by Justin Vernon in collaboration with Pitchfork.
Confirmed bands in addition to Bon Iver include Jens Lekman, Wild Beasts, Cut Copy, Kathleen Edwards, and Pantha du Prince, with many more to come.

ulrichrame Indice Pitchfork 2.2 / 10. Bon ben, festival moins que moyen. J'ai fait les deux jours, la salle est bien (chauffée et on ne fait pas la queue pour les bières et les donuts). J'ai vu la moitié d'un concert qui avait le niveau "festival" (Bon Iver). Pour le reste des concerts calibrés pour une salle de 300 personnes type Point Ephemere... "Super!" :( J'ai pas tellement apprécié. C'est un peu de ma faute, j'arrive le premier jour après le passage de Fucked up (le gros tout nu avec des poils) que je souhaitais revoir. C'est aussi beaucoup de leur faute car les organisateurs n'ont pas communiqués sur la programmation horaire des deux jours (hey, le site web était vide !). Pire, les organisateurs ont "oublié" de distribuer un programme aux spectateurs. Ah mais si, ils le vendaient très discrètement à 1euro avant les contrôles mais pour cela il fallait ressortir du festival :) Ca fait radin de pas filer un programme à des spectateurs qui ont payés 40 euros la soirée.
