Z enim samim špilom na brightonski plaži je razplesal četrt milijona žurerjev in povzročil prometni kolaps na jugu Anglije. Je dobitnik priznanja Ivor Novelo, treh britov in devetih nagrad MTV, še vedno pa tudi največji žurer med didžeji.

Za ikono, ki nas je nenazadnje osvojila tudi s hitom 'Eat Sleep Rave Repeat', so si mediji v 90. letih izmislili termin Superstar DJ, za njegove nastope pa se še vedno pulijo največji svetovni elektronski in pop-rock festivali.

Norman Cook aka FATBOY SLIM ("Rockafeller Skank", "Right Here, Right Now", "Praise You", "Gangster Trippin'", "Weapon of Choice") je lestvice osvajal tudi kot Housemartins ("Caravan of Love"), Beats International ("Dub Be Good To Me"), Freak Power ("Turn On, Tune In and Cop out"), The Mighty Dub Katz ("Magic Carpet Ride") in Pizzaman ("Trippin' on Sunshine"), podpisal pa je tudi klasične remikse "Brimful of Asha" (Cornershop), "I See You Baby" (Groove Armada), "Body Movin'" (Beastie Boys), bootleg "Satisfaction" (Rolling Stones) in mnoge druge.
