THE SOUPCANS (http://thesoupcans.bandcamp.com/)
Toronto avant garage punk trio The Soupcans keep the good times rolling. Growling vocals flounder like a child's head in a bowl of milk & cereal. Blubbering & yelping over spastic angular guitar movements, that lurch & bounce forward over slamming drum beats & locked in bass grooves holding on for dear life. Layers of languid fuzz slosh over everything. From super speed slop singles to swaggering bastard ballads, these maniac junk partiers take garage rock to the next level.

DRAINOLITH (http://www.myspace.com/drainolith)
Alex Moskos of Aids Wolf, Thames, Unireverse etc. turns dance synth music on it's head. Cranking the distortion & severing the beat, he makes a bumping bass/heavy electronics massacre. Frequencies screech off into the distance as other try to follow a more straight forward path only to find that it no longer exists. Cohesive cut & paste with in a single media. Bleeps & bloops for harsh heads. Guitar effects wizardry that pulls you into it's crunching and cracking. Sounds like destroyed muffler car chase. Don't miss this special performance featuring new jams & a full band!

SEXY MERLIN (www.myspace.com/sexymerlins)
Toronto drum wizard of FoxFire & Mausoleum, brings some serious drum fury. Avant dance beats in space, percussion running through phasers, jiving in & out. Popping cowbells and bumping roto toms, beats that float through your inner cortex. Check this one man dance party progenitor!

PON DE REPLAY (http://soundcloud.com/pondereplay)
Brian Seeger, builds tape collage mash-ups, avant mandolin/guitar compositions and goblin-esque spaced out synth experimentations. Expect a plethora of found sound, tape loops, pre-recorded jargon and jingles, on the fly mandolin & guitar improvisation juxtaposed in a seamless continuity of collaged reality. Brian weaves together a web like the spiralling of a kaleidoscope, hypnotizing yet jarring. His mandolin & guitar work, beautiful and warm, sometimes layered with thick electronic rhythms that lazily provide structure to his avant textures. Varied approaches within a cohesive idea. Come catch this genus at work.

MAN MADE HILL (http://www.myspace.com/llihedamnam)
one man electronic dance psych free baser Randy Gagne (Disguises, Toddler Body) gets out & gets down. Buzz, swirling synthesizers hum over thumping bass and chatter drum machine beats. Vocals heavy with distortion, glide over the tracks melting into them. Warped funk electro funk tendancies bounce underneath the synthesized and sampled zaps & burps. Distortion rolls over, as everything is bubbled down into a bastard groove stew that pulsates & squeaks like the digital mess of a thousand old computers dialling in their last connection. Surreal dance music for the modern hypochondriac.

JOHN MILNER YOU'RE SO BOSS (http://jmysb.tumblr.com/)
Everyone's favourite weirdo-punks keeps it real. Spazz punk for the modern scumbag. Lightning fast speed, thrashed guitar cords, screeched out bleeps & bloops gloop out of circuit bent toys & electronics. Danielle's vocals yelps & spasms rupture in a chaotic volcano of pure hecticity.

ASTRAL GUNK (http://astralgunk.bandcamp.com/)
Sackville, junk rock spazz groove lords make the trip west to rock. Herky jerk hilarity infused riffage spirals out of control over bouncy punk bass lines. Vocals shout frantically amidst some flailing guitar notes long broken apart from their tightly grooved past. Fast songs, no bullshit.

ENERGETIC ACTION (http://energeticaction.bandcamp.com/)
Edmonton freak rockin' kids blast out jams indicative of their name. Scrappy, scratchy guitars dabble in the world of math rock. Confident vocals announce their decree over bubbling bass. Post punk restraint holds in this disaffected chords the angular guitar notes as they stir in their confines. Come check these cool dudes, first time in Toronto, first time on tour!

YOUNG TRUCK
Avant dancescape doctor, keeps the party moving with his almost ethereal, score like dance compositions, juxtaposed with noise drone interludes. Cut & paste DJ-isms via the noise scene. Harsh booties need shaking. Get down.

INDIGENOUS NUDES (http://indigenousnudes.bandcamp.com/)
London, ON harsh noise power electronics grinders stay true to their past. Blazing static feedback, crackles again dialled up sin waves, twisted to break. TV snow like on the north pole. Insect sounds, digital movements, like a disjointed dance, these shaky sound constructs crawl & slink around each other in some alien for of communication.
