In mid-August 2007, the eight people that make up We Aeronauts relocated to France for a holiday. They took a car-full of instruments with them too. When they came back they had a band.
They like to play pop songs together. Sometimes the pop songs are more shoegaze or folk than pure pop - but they like it that way. They have played a host of gigs, including shows with Why?, Johnny Flynn, Laura Marling, Jeff Lewis and Okkervil River amongst others, and last year released their acclaimed The Chalon Valley EP, named after the picturesque location which inspired their first offerings.
