Join us for a special night celebrating the unique talents of Southern California’s singer/songwriter Havana and her sophomore album Entervention. This amazing project represents the collective efforts of some of California’s most progressive artists including Brook D’Leau of J*Davey, Bay area wordsmith and producer Trackademicks, and bass maven GB. Experience the eclectic sounds of these artists all on one night for what is being dubbed the Entervention Experience!

San Diego based artist Havana has racked up quite an impressive resume! Having worked with an eclectic roster of producers that includes Nicolay, Brook D’Leau, Trackademicks, and Zo in addition to going on tour with Strictly Social in 2010, Havana has proven she is an integral part of the future soul movement. With her second album Entervention she channels her pain and heartbreak into retro electronic lullabies and kinetic dancefloor stormers that are both lyrically dense and headnodding. To celebrate her breathtaking album, Havana will be performing with a live band incorporating dynamic visuals and some surprise guests.

TRACKADEMICKS

2011 has been a great year for Trackademicks. In addition to his work with Havana, the rapper/producer has released collaborations with such incredible names as Phonte, Goapele, Kid Sister, and Teedra Moses. His releases State of the Arts and Fresh Coastin’ showcase his easy California style to both production and rhyming. With his casual retro flavor and energetic performances, Trackademicks is steadily gaining steam. Catch this rare LA performance.

Gabriel Reyes-Whittaker is the principal composer, producer and director of GIFTED & BLESSED. He is most widely known for his work under the pseudonym GB. Although his music ranges widely stylistically, he classifies his work under the umbrella term technoindigenous studies, a sound that emphasizes the integration of modern analog electronics with the spirit and sometimes the aesthetic of the music of his ancestors. The enigmatic producer, who just completed a European tour with Afta-1, is sure to impress with his mesmerizing sounds.
