Charity Concert - Help Boyan Fight Cancer!

Boyan Yordanov Stanislavov, born 04.08.1983 is diagnosed with malignant cancer (Yolk sac tumour) which has metastases spread to the stomach, liver and lymph nodes. Until now, his treatment has been conducted at the Specialized Hospital for Oncology – Sofia, Bulgaria. He
underwent three surgical operations and ten rounds of chemotherapy. However none of these were successful and the doctors have exhausted their options and have stopped treatment. After a consultation for a second opinion about the chances for treatment abroad, Prof. Dr. Haluk Onat from the Anatolian Medical Hospital - Istanbul-Turkey was contacted, a subsidiary of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute - USA.
After examining the case history, research and treatment done in Bulgaria Dr. Onat expressed eagerness to take over his treatment, because in his opinion, Boyan has a chance to be completely cured. The treatment will consist of three rounds of chemotherapy, followed by one high-dose of chemotherapy and the transplantation of stem cells. The preliminary treatment cost ranges from 30 000 to 50 000 euros for the high-dose chemotherapy and the transplantation as well as € 3,000 for each of the chemotherapy rounds.
